Biography
February Spikener (she/they) is a Black femme poet from Detroit currently residing in Chicago. She has earned her bachelor's degree in English with concentrations in creative writing and psychology from Wellesley College and is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in poetry through Randolph College's low-residency program. Beyond writing poetry, Spikener's interests include reading, learning how to play guitar, and working to ensure equitable access to the creative arts for all people. At Saint Xavier University, she will be supporting the Center for Learning and Student Support as a multilingual writing specialist. Prior to SXU, she was a high school educator.
